Shenzhen's 8th Fringe Festival, with 500 artists broken up into 61 teams made up of local Chinese and artists from all over the world, is taking place now at nine venues across Nanshan District. It began on November 24th in Shenzhen Bay and is separated into four parts: Fringe Kids, Fringe Youth, Fringe Street, and Fringe Parade.

According to the People's Republic of China Exit and Entry Administration Law, effective December 1st, 2017, passengers will have to exit their vehicles when traveling across the Shenzhen Bay Port Border from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. Please plan your trips accordingly. This may add signficant travel time.
Cars traveling from Shenzhen to Hong Kong appear not to be currently affected by this new change.

From November 1st through November 30th, two districts of Shenzhen have been conducting a transition period of new laws aimed at preventing and reducing traffic accidents involving electric bicycles, and safeguarding the lives and property of citizens. The new laws are scheduled to take effect on December 1, 2017.
The following violations are punishable by fines, and possibly detainment of vehicles, in Guangming New District and Bao'an District. There's no news yet as to when or if these laws will spread to other districts of Shenzhen.

A week ago Friday immigration was out on the streets of Shekou checking foreigners for passports and their registration papers. This week, foreigners have been posting on social media that immigration has stopped by their apartments to check as well.
This notice was seen posted in Coastal Rose Garden 2 this week apparently explaining the checks.
