On Friday August 18th, Design Society announced that the new Sea World Culture and Arts Center will open to the public in Shekou, Shenzhen on December 2nd, 2017.
Design Society will open with three inaugural exhibitions: Values of Design in the V&A Gallery, Minding the Digital in the Main Gallery, and Nurturing Dreams in Recent Work: Fumihiko Maki + Maki and Associates in the Subsidiary Gallery. In addition to the exhibitions, the complex will include Extra Time, Xiaoyan I MEW, a multi-purpose hall, a theatre, a restaurant and themed creative stores.

The brand new Shenzhen Shekou Maritime Museum opened to the public on Thursday this week after its launching ceremony on the morning of Wednesday June 28th along with the Management and Service Center for Expats and the Nanshan Pioneers Education and Management Base.

After nearly two years of intense construction, the 6.6km Western Binhai Promenade, from Sea World to the Shenzhen Bay Sports Park is about to open to the public. China Merchants Shekou has recently shared these great photos.
