The following Thunderstorm Warning issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 7:55 a.m. on 14 Jun 2017 and will remain in force until 9:30 a.m. today. They also made issued a warning about strong winds and rain at 8:30 am stating that: "Widespread heavy rain may affect Hong Kong in a couple of hours. Members of the public should be on the alert. Gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may continue to affect Hong Kong. "

At 10am Tuesday June 13th, Shenzhen China Merchants Shekou International Cruise Terminal Co. Ltd. announced that all ferry service to and from Shekou will resume after 12 noon today after being suspended yesterday at 1pm ahead of Tropical Cyclone Merbok.
Considering how much it's still raining now, we assume this may change. If it does, we'll post it here. Stay tuned!

This morning the City of Shenzhen released the following warning about flooding caused by Merbok. Please take care! (Translated via Google Translate):

Shenzhen China Merchants Shekou International Cruise Terminal Co. Ltd. has announced that all ferry service to and from Shekou have been cancelled as of 1pm today. The cancellation is due to the arrival of Tropical Cyclone Merbok.
No information has yet to be provided as to when the ferry service will resume. We'll post it here as soon as we know.
UPDATE: 7:30PM 3/13/17: At 6:45pm, the HKO issued the following weather forecast for today and tomorrow: "Mainly cloudy with a few showers. There will be isolated thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow morning. Sunny intervals in the afternoon. Temperatures will range between 26 and 31 degrees. Moderate southwesterly winds, occasionally fresh. Outlook: Sunny intervals on Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms in the following couple of days."

UPDATE: 6:15pm. Although thunderstorms are expected to continue through tomorrow the Hong Kong Observatory has lifted it's thunderstorm warning. Here is their latest weather outlook for tonight and tomorrow. "Cloudy with showers and a few thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times at first tomorrow. The minimum temperature will be about 23 degrees. Showers will ease off gradually with sunny intervals during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 28 degrees. Light winds, becoming moderate northeasterly winds tomorrow. Outlook: Sunny periods in the following couple of days."
